Roadway Design

George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston, Texas - Review and design seven miles of service roads and drainage ditches. Task: review and modification of roadway geometric design, design of roadside drainage ditches, and design of storm sewer connections to proposed overall storm drainage system.

Westpark Tollway, Houston, Texas - Developed plan and profiles for main lanes, service roads and connecting ramps for the intersection of Westpark Tollway and Beltway 8. Tasks: horizontal and vertical alignments, typical sections, cross sections, quantities, and development of rRoadway alignments and cross sections with Geopak software.

US 59 East Fork San Jacinto River Bridge, Liberty County, Texas - Designed highway approaches for replacing the northbound bridge over San Jacinto River. Tasks: vertical and horizontal profiles, construction phasing, traffic control, plan and profiles, permanent striping and signing, storm water pollution prevention plans, typical sections, quantity analysis, and QAQC.

Hawkins Boulevard Extension, El Paso, Texas - Conducted design analysis for vertical alignment for a 200-meter bridge. Tasks: development of cross sections, modification of bridge grades to meet AADA pedestrian ramp standards, and development of vertical profile and horizontal alignment for a truck access road.

FM 3500 Highway Improvement, Anthony, Texas - Tasks: design of traffic control and construction staging, analysis of drainage system layout, storm drainage calculations using Manning's formula and the Rational Method for a five year rainfall intensity, development of plan and profiles for storm sewer ditches, and computation of roadway and drainage quantities.

U.S. 77/83 Interchange, Harlingen-San Benito, Texas - Tasks: traffic analyses using the Highway Capacity and PASSER II software for roadway ramp relocation, relocation of access routes, traffic flow service levels, and highway capacities.

Roadway Planning

NCTCOG External Travel Surveys, Dallas, Texas - Supervised travel surveys, data reduction, and geocoding efforts. Conducted quality control of coded surveys for developing a base-year travel forecast model for the Dallas/Fort Worth Metropolitan area.

S.H. 190 Toll Road Feasibility Study, Dallas, Texas - Supervised a team of 50 surveyors and engineers conducting origin-destination traffic surveys. Conducted quality control of data reduction tasks.

Metropolitan Transportation Plan Update, Harlingen-San Benito, Texas - Planned roadway improvements, identified transportation enhancement projects, developed cost estimates, and created financial plans based on federal requirements.
